Rules and Regulations

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. TO ENTER: Visit the Roxy website at Roxy.com and follow the instructions to enter on-line. Open only to U.S. and Canadian residents who, as of July 16th, 2008, are 13 years of age or older. Limit one entry per person per day. See the Roxy.com website for copies of these official rules. Quiksilver (Roxy Division – “Roxy”) is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or for other errors, failures, or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are either human or technical in nature. Sweepstakes runs from 9:00 a.m. July 16th, 2008 through September 30th, 2008. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on September 30th, 2008 to be included in the contest. An unlimited amount of entries are accepted per person.

2. Winner Selections: One (1) winner will be selected at random by Roxy. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be announced on or about October 8th, 2008. Roxy’s decisions are final and binding on all matters related to the sweepstakes. The winner will be notified by e-mail within 24 hours of their selection. Upon notification, the winner must claim his/her prize by e-mail or by the telephone number provided. If a given winner does not respond within 5 days of initial notification, an alternate winner will be selected from among the remaining eligible entries. The winner must complete an affidavit of eligibility and release and return them to Roxy/Quiksilver within five (5) working days after receipt of such documents. Parent or guardian must sign for persons under 18 years of age.  Noncompliance will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected from among remaining eligible entries by random drawing. 

3. PRIZES: The following prize package will be awarded to one (1) Winner: round-trip coach class air transportation for the winner and one (1) guest (a parent or guardian must accompany a winner under 18 years of age) from the airport nearest winner’s home to Oahu, Hawaii.  Maximum value of each flight not to exceed $750.00.  Winner will pay difference if flights from their nearest airport are more than $750.00; three (3) nights accommodations in Oahu, Hawaii at the Outrigger Reef Hotel for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of December 2008, double occupancy;  and VIP passes for the winner and one (1) guest to the Roxy Pro Hawaii event.  Meals, local transportation and incidentals are not included except as specifically described. Estimated total value $3000.00. All prizes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose

4. NO PRIZE SUBSTITUTIONS OR CASH REDEMPTION EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN:  Winner acknowledges that the prize involves attendance at an event scheduled for specific dates, and no date changes are possible.  The event may not run on those specific days as there is a 2-week ‘holding period’.  Unclaimed or unused prize elements are forfeited. Prizes are not transferable. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value should feature prize become unavailable. Taxes on prizes are responsibility of the winner. The decisions of Roxy/Quiksilver are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

5. ELIGIBILITY: Employees of Roxy/Quiksilver, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, sales reps, advertising and promotion agencies and the immediate family members and household members of each are not eligible to participate. Proof of identity must be furnished upon request.

6. GENERAL: By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules. Winner agrees to release Quiksilver, Inc., and its respective directors, employees, officers and agents including without limitation their advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damage with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize-related activity. In addition, winner acknowledges that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize or element thereof, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes should virus, bugs, fraud or other causes beyond Sponsors' reasonable control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the sweepstakes.

7. RULES/WINNERS LIST: For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Quiksilver, Inc. Attention: “Roxy Marketing- The “Roxy Pro Hawaii ‘Sweepstakes” Winners List”, 15202 Graham Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92649. Winners list available after October 8, 2008 until November 8, 2008.
